It is associated with its own sister institute named Rohilkhand Medical College and Hospital which is one of the biggest medical college in the region.

The idea to start this hospital was conceived by Dr. Keshav Kumar( MBBS, MS, MRSH, FISS), a renowned surgeon in medical professional and his wife Dr.Lata Agarwal (MBBS,MS) in 1987, bearing in the mind the difficulties faced by the people of this region. An imaginative combination of his name with that of his wife's Dr. Lata Agarwal led to the name of this hospital as Keshlata Hospital.

The hospital campus is spread over a land area of about 15,000 aquare yards in the heart of the city of Barilley.It's foundation stone was laid dawn by Shri N.D. Tiwari, the then Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and it was formally inaugurated by Director General of Health Services on the 5th of May,1991.

During this period, The hospital made a rapid progress and created a faith amongst the targeted population of the area on the expert medical and health facilities provided by if, hitherto available only in Lucknow and Delhi.
